The hotel is located in the heart of the Old Quarter, which makes it easy to move around. There is an abundance of eateries and amenities, plenty of things to see and do, during your stay. The rooms are larger than in other parts of the city. Every item is sensibly designed and it made for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is highly-praised by previous hotel guests, and I was curious what the hype was. I stayed in the hotel for 5 days, and the menu was varied each day. There is a selection of eggs, pancakes French toast and even pho that is made to order. The breakfast was a great way to start each day. The most amazing thing about the hotel is the service. I am an avid traveller, and have stayed in many hotels. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the best service I have received. I made my dietary restrictions known to one member of staff, and over the next few days, different persons remembered and made sure I was not eating the wrong food during breakfast. The communication between the staff is also remarkable. Each person knows your schedule, like what time your city tour starts, or the timing of your airport transfer. I often overhear the staff checking in with different guests to find out if their needs have been met, and if they have enjoyed their stay. The staff goes above and beyond to meet your needs. It is easy to recommend eateries around the hotel, but they also go the extra mile to find out what you have eaten and what you liked/disliked before making their recommendations. I know booking.com allows you to give a rating of 10, but if I had it my way, would have given them a 15.

Altogether my daughter and I spend 10 nights at this hotel. You could perhaps spend more money, and get a more luxurious stay. You might also, and most likely, spend more money and get a less satisfying stay. Madam Lan and her very friendly and service minded staff took very good care off all our needs and expectations from pick up at the airport and throughout our whole stay. The location is of course a matter of taste, but if you wish to stay in the old quarter, and really feel the city, this is an excellent choice. Most rooms are away from the noisy streets, and after a good nights sleep day begins with a solid breakfast with freshly made eggs and pancakes off your choice. Treat yourself with a relaxing massage at the hotel, perhaps after a long flight, and this will be your perfect base in this vibrant city. They even took upright care of my daughter, when she was a little bit ill. After a pot of Madam Lan’s super tea, she was up and running in no time. If we ever come back to Hanoi, this will be our first choice! Peter and Emma, Denmark

Lovely place to stay, very clean with well appointed decor. We upgraded to a larger room with a street view which we liked the extra luxury this offered. Very comfortable bed and pillows. We liked the walk-in shower. We were given complementary tea and snack whilst being checked in. The staff are exceptional, they even learned our names which gave a lovely personal touch. The staff asked us what we’re doing on each day we left the hotel to offer us advice or guidance to help us get the most out of our days exploration. The breakfast each morning was very nice and was changed slightly each day to give us some variation. Did I mention just how friendly and helpful the staff are? (Nancy,Leo and all front of house staff).

Perfect base in Hanoi in the old quarter! Everything about our stay was amazing Staff at the front desk and restaurant were so friendly and helpful. Leo at the front desk especially helpful - suggesting places for us to visit. Breakfast was a lovely start to the day, can order off menu and also a buffet. Room was large, comfortable, kept nice and cool which was a respite from the heat! Especially lovely feature was offering a shower end of the day, and to relax in the foyer as we were catching overnight train to sapa. Perfect after a day of exploring Absolute perfect place to stay in Hanoi old quarter

The room, the breakfast, and all the staff very helpful and polite. I had booked round trip taxi from Hanoi airport to our hotel through booking.com. We were 3 people with 3 big bags excepted by all airlines. Pickup was perfect but today the associated taxi company send in a small taxi which would fit in 2 bags and 2 passengers. After talking to the taxi company the lady was very rude and so was the taxi driver who drove off leaving us! Last minute the front office receptionist was extremely helpful to arrange a taxi for us to go to the airport. Thank you so much. Thank you taxi driver.
